As a leading advocate for elder adults and their families in Western Massachusetts, Geriatric Care Solutions’ mission is to assist our clients with the development of solutions for their long-term care needs. Our services are focused on empowering elder adults to maintain their independence as long as possible. Our primary goal is to preserve the dignity and independence of the elder, thereby enhancing the quality of their life.

Joanne Craven-Dunn

As a Professional Geriatric Care Manager, Joanne Craven Dunn has over 40 years of nursing experience in Western Massachusetts, including 20 years as an RN Case Manager with Gerontology as her primary focus. She has owned and operated Geriatric Care Management since its inception in 2001. Joanne supports the elder's right to choose his/her care while providing a cost-effective service.



Joanne is a member of the following associations:

  • Member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers
  • Member of the N.E. Chapter of the National Assoc. of Professional Geriatric Care Managers

Kathy Bowen

Kathy has over 25 years of experience working with elders and their families in the field of aging. Kathy’s sensitive, friendly manner and her strong advocacy skills, provide our clients with expert assistance when they find themselves in a crisis situation. Kathy has many years of experience partnering with attorneys, guardians and trust officers, providing quality professional care management services to elders.

Kathleen Bowen, B.S., M.Ed., GCM

Marie Deitz

Marie has 35 years of nursing experience, 20 of those in hospice and in-home. With an expertise in pain and symptom management; Marie is certified in Hospice and Palliative Care. This gives her the ability to assist physicians in managing care along the continuum. Marie supports the client and family in seeking out appropriate treatment as symptoms arise and advocate for the elder with health care providers.

  • 20 years case management in home care and hospice
  • 7 years as a Director of Hospice
